Primary links

To transport the signal from your studios to the headends, TDF offers a transport solution based on Dark Fiber Optic (DFO)* technology.

(*) Dark Fiber Optic is a technology that designates an installed, non-activated fiber. It is intended to be leased. It is lit on demand, hence the name "black" or "switched off".

Broadcast

Guéret Saint Léger TDF site

TDF offers to broadcast programs from the transmitter network to viewers' individual or collective antennas.

There are two categories of network: the Main Network and the Complementary Network.

  • The main network is made up of major sites covering large population areas (Bordeaux-Bouliac, Tour Eiffel, Marseille Grande Etoile, etc.).

.

  • The complementary network serving areas not covered by the main network.

.

  • This additional coverage enables us to reach a total of 95% of the population.

The broadcasting service relies on the broadcasting infrastructure and energy installations at TDF sites.

Operation and maintenance of the broadcasting service is carried out 24/7 by the NOC (Network Operations Center) at TDF's Romainville Campus (commune of Les Lilas).

As a key player in the evolution of television, TDF regularly works in partnership with its customers to carry out experimental broadcasts to modernize DTT(4K, UHD, DVBT2, etc.), particularly during major sporting or cultural events.
