TDF, via its subsidiary Ad Valem Technologies, joins forces with Telstra, an Australian telecommunications and technology company, for audiovisual transport. This strategic partnership enables the TDF Group to significantly increase its access to live international sporting and musical events worldwide.
By integrating with Telstra's global audiovisual network and its international network of local operators, TDF subsidiary Ad Valem Technologies will have the capacity to cover several thousand stadiums and event venues worldwide.
All Telstra network partners, of which Ad Valem Technologies is now a member, ensure the international transport of video streams between the event venue and TV channels via Telstra's global audiovisual network.
TDF currently broadcasts major events in High Definition (HD) and Ultra High Definition (UHD), such as Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 soccer and the Top14 rugby league, as well as exceptional competitions such as the Ryder Cup, Formula 1, the Davis Cup, the Rolex Master, the Champions League and cultural and musical events.
" Telstra, which was already our supplier, has become our partner. TDF is delighted. With Ad Valem Technologies, the TDF group already benefits from more than sixty stadiums connected to a high-speed fiber core network. We are proud to be able to share our expertise and our roots in France with Telstra. This partnership opens up a whole new range of events worldwide," says Franck Langrand, Managing Director of TDF's Audiovisual Division.
" We are delighted to be working closely with TDF / Ad Valem Technologies as a partner in our global audiovisual network. Thanks to the Telstra network and its partners in Asia, Europe and the Americas, TDF customers are now connected to more than 2,500 stadiums, arenas and TV stations around the world. This partnership offers French customers a simple and robust solution to reach an international audience and bring international content to the French public," said Trevor Boal, Director of Telstra Broadcast Services.
