An eligibility tool and two new operators to develop access to fiber optics
Faucigny Glières Fibre has begun operating and marketing its fiber optic network. From February 1, local residents and businesses will be able to test their eligibility for fiber optics and obtain a provisional indicative date on the Faucigny Glières Fibre website. The 3,000 households already eligible in the communes of Ayze, Vougy and part of Bonneville will be able to access offers from the new operators present on the network.
An online eligibility tool
The Faucigny Glieres Fibre website features an eligibility tool on its home page. By entering their postal address, individuals and businesses in the area can test their eligibility for fiber, get a provisional date and find out which operators are present. They can also report unlisted or incorrect addresses.
New operators available on the network
Faucigny Glières Fibre, a subsidiary of TDF, aims to play a key role in the digital development of the region, serving local authorities, businesses and the general public. Benefiting from the company's neutrality and expertise vis-à-vis commercial operators, residents of the communauté de communes can now take advantage of an extended offer for their fiber optic subscription.
From February 1, 2023, Faucigny Glières Fibre is expanding its offering, enabling two new national ISPs, Nordnet and Ozone, to join K-net on the network and offer subscription packages. 3,000 households in Ayze, Vougy and part of Bonneville can now benefit from this diversified offer. Faucigny Glières Fibre is in discussion with other operators.
Deployment of the FttH network in Brison, Bonneville, Contamine-sur-Arve, Glières-Val-de-Borne and Marignier will take place progressively over the next three years. The creation of 14,000 new connections over three years will provide residents and businesses in the seven communes with a very high-speed Internet connection.

About Faucigny Glière
The Faucigny Glières Community of Communes (CCFG) was created in January 2006, and its actions are in line with the missions transferred by the 7 communes that make it up: Ayze, Bonneville, Brison, Contamine-sur-Arve, Marignier, Glières-Val-de-Borne and Vougy. The CCFG is responsible for the day-to-day management of day-to-day activities: early childhood, children, young people, roads, the environment, sports and cultural facilities, etc. The CCFG will be responsible for fiber optics from the end of 2020. In this way, the CCFG pools the staff, equipment and know-how of its seven member communes, ensuring a consistent range of services for residents and coherent regional development, while preserving quality of life.
