TDF, a major player in radio broadcasting, is present at the Salon de la Radio et Audio digital, the benchmark show for radio in France and internationally, from January 24 to 26, 2019 in Paris (Grande Halle de la Villette - stand A05).
TDF positions itself alongside radio stations as a technical expert, in charge of broadcasting, transport and network management.
Broadcasting FM, DAB+, FM Synchrome and AM, TDF offers its expertise in transporting and broadcasting radio everywhere in France, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from studios to listeners.
Innovations are also demonstrated.
Integrated into the car radio system, Radiobridge, developed by TDF, combines FM, DAB+ and IP broadcasting, while offering new on-demand listening services.
DAB+ speeds up
TDF is supporting its customers in the launch of DAB+, the rollout of which is accelerating in France. TDF already broadcasts more than a hundred programs on DAB+ in Paris, Marseille, Nice, Lille and Lyon.
The Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel has just announced that over 20% of the French population is now covered by DAB+. This threshold marks the launch of the progressive timetable for the obligation to market devices equipped with DAB+ technology.
As a digital radio broadcasting technology, DAB+ enables listeners to benefit from better sound quality, improved listening continuity on the move, the arrival of new radio stations and the enrichment of the audio stream with associated digital data.
