TDF partner of the Assemblée des Départements de France

TDF and the Assemblée des Départements de France (ADF) have signed a partnership agreement to promote the digital development of the French territory, and in particular mobile and fixed broadband coverage.

This collaboration will enable TDF and the ADF to set up joint initiatives focusing on the development of telecoms network infrastructures, as well as new uses and services linked to ultra-high-speed broadband.

Through this partnership with the Assemblée des Départements de France, TDF confirms its ambition to be a benchmark partner for local authorities, supported by employees located throughout France, and a unique network of audiovisual and telecoms infrastructures.

Joint work on the evolution of wireless and digital technologies

The ADF works within thematic commissions ("Innovation and Digital", "Territorial Planning" and "Social Affairs and Solidarity") in which TDF will be involved. The two partners will thus be able to exchange views on the latest developments in the digital sector, share the expectations of local authorities and the thinking behind them, boost their actions and turn their mutual expectations into reality.

TDF's technical expertise will help it propose innovative solutions to support the development of new services and uses.
In addition, the Assemblée des Départements de France would like to examine the future of France's "high points" assets and market in the light of developments in wireless and digital technologies, and will involve TDF in its studies.

Digital development, a social challenge and a priority for local authorities

The Départements, committed through their Schéma Directeur d'Aménagement Numérique (SDAN), play a central role in the development of digital coverage: mobile coverage is undergoing an unprecedented acceleration phase thanks to the agreement between operators and the State reached in early 2018, and, on the fixed network side, the ambition is to reach 100% Fiber by 2025.

Olivier Huart, Chairman and CEO of TDF said:

TDF's ambition is to "connect everywhere, faster". TDF wishes to share this vision of the future and this commitment with local authorities, with the support of its partner, the ADF, to offer all territories high-quality digital coverage. This is an essential challenge that involves all of us - elected representatives, infrastructure operators and economic partners.
