For almost fifty years, TDF has been supporting local authorities in their digital coverage projects, while taking care to minimize the environmental footprint of its infrastructures. Two masts on display at the TDF stand
On the stand, TDF teamed up with Mube, creators of green structures, to present one of their green elevations. This innovative product enables the natural integration of digital networks in the city, by positioning digital equipment at the top of vegetated sculptures. As a responsible player, TDF is also exhibiting a telecommunications pylon fitted with a photovoltaic shade.
Closer to the digital needs of local authorities
Deploying fiber optics, improving mobile coverage and broadcasting digital terrestrial television are all part of the daily concerns of local players. Through its expertise and knowledge of local issues, TDF supports local authorities in the digital development of their territories. Its roots and territorial coverage in mainland France and the French overseas territories make TDF a benchmark infrastructure operator in telecommunications and broadcasting.
TDF has a large number of infrastructures (towers, roof-tops, etc.), an industrial organization capable of building and deploying several hundred towers a year, and shared solutions for covering confined environments (subways, tunnels). In this way, TDF is asserting its role as a gas pedal of digital coverage of the French territory, with the aim of resolving areas where mobile coverage is lacking.
In addition, the operator is a public service delegate for the rollout of fiber optics in low-density areas in five territories in six départements: Val d'Oise, Yvelines, Val de Loire (Indre-et-Loire and Loir-et-Cher), Maine-et-Loire and the Communauté de communes Faucigny Glières (Haute-Savoie).
