In the daily lives of the French, for 50 years
The film's emotional story traces the lives of two characters who meet and meet again at every major moment in history, and in their personal histories, thanks to TDF.
The reflex of radio, the presence of television, the beginnings of mobile telephony - everyone will recognize themselves in the references slipped in at every second, and in the major events of the last fifty years that have forged our collective memory.
The scenes highlight the central role played by TDF in French society, highlighting its heritage and expertise. Building on its heritage, the Group looks to the future. As the needs of our customers evolve with technology, the ability to connect is more vital than ever.
The men and women of TDF in the spotlight
In this production, TDF has deliberately chosen to highlight "those who bind us together". We're talking here about the men and women of the company, like builders in the shadows, who have been connecting the French and their territories every day for 50 years.
More than twenty of the company's employees took part in the film, whether as extras, portraits or actors in their daily professional lives. It took almost a week of filming in Marseille (13), Les Lilas (93), Montreuil (93) and Boulogne-Billancourt (92) to shoot the scenes, interspersed with archive footage taken from current events and the company's historical heritage.
The heroes of this production were our employees, who previewed the film on January 9 at an in-house event broadcast live to our 1,400 employees throughout France and the French overseas territories. The feedback was unanimous: it testifies to an embodied corporate culture and a strong attachment that translates into great pride.
Olivier Huart, Chairman and CEO of TDF, said:
"On behalf of the TDF company, I am very honored to present the film "Those who bind us". From radio to television, via fixed and mobile telecoms networks, we are behind every technological advance. This adventure is driven by the commitment of the men and women of TDF, whom we highlight in the film. To celebrate this half-century is to honor our history and showcase our heritage, our infrastructure (towers, masts, datacenters, etc.) and our networks. Above all, it's about looking to the future and affirming our vision: more than ever, being able to connect is vital."
