Orange announces its arrival on the fiber optic networks operated by TDF

Orange and TDF have signed an agreement enabling Orange to market its fiber offerings on the fiber optic networks deployed by TDF in the Public Initiative zones of the five départements of Val d'Oise, Yvelines, Indre-et-Loire, Loir-et-Cher and Maine-et-Loire. More than 1,000 communes in low-density areas are concerned.

Commercial launches will take place once Orange has connected its infrastructures to those of TDF and TDF's delegated subsidiaries. Households that can be connected to the public-initiative networks operated by TDF will gradually be able to benefit from the uses of fiber optics by subscribing to a fiber subscription if they so wish. Orange will begin offering its services in October in the Val d'Oise, Yvelines and, very shortly, in the Loire Valley and Anjou.

Already available to 13.5 million homes and business premises nationwide, La Fibre Orange will gradually be rolled out to all the territories where TDF is deploying its services, most of which are located in low-density areas.

Fabienne Dulac, Executive Vice President, CEO of Orange France, commented: " Thanks to this agreement with TDF, residents of Val d'Oise, Yvelines, Loir-et-Cher, Indre-et-Loire and Maine-et-Loire will soon be able to benefit from all the offers and services of La Fibre Orange. In this way, Orange is reaffirming its commitment to making the best digital uses and services available to the greatest number of people and businesses in every region".

Olivier Huart, Chairman and CEO of TDF, commented: " We are delighted with this agreement with Orange, a long-standing partner of TDF. The Orange offers will enhance the range of services available on all our fiber networks, for the benefit of the territories that have placed their trust in us ".
