From March 5 to 15, a vast clean-up operation was carried out in the heart of the Calanques National Park.

TDF removed waste from its property on the Frioul archipelago, in the upper part of the island of Pomègues.

The clean-up operation focused in particular on the area around the TDF transmitter site, and was divided into several phases:

  • Dismantling the analog TV transmitters in the transmitter room on TDF's premises;
  • Removal of an algeco and two outdoor air-conditioning units no longer in use, as well as bulky waste;
  • Removal of barbed wire and rusty bars from the wall around the enclosure.

The Parc national des Calanques encourages eco-responsible and environmentally-friendly actions. As part of this approach, this operation benefits from the technical support of the National Park and the CEN (Conservatoire d'espaces naturels) Paca.
