TDF has just been officially selected by the Syndicat Mixte Ouvert Anjou Numérique to deploy and operate optical fiber in rural areas of Maine-et-Loire. A few weeks after winning the public service concession for the Indre-et-Loire and Loir-et-Cher departments, this is a fourth success for TDF.
Between now and 2022, this project will see the installation of 220,000 outlets, bringing ultra-high-speed Internet access to the region's residents and businesses.
In the next few days, TDF will set up a dedicated company, which will be the delegate and partner of the Maine-et-Loire local authorities for the next 25 years.
For TDF, this new contract confirms its foothold in the fiber market, as well as its strategic positioning aimed at providing ultra-high-speed broadband coverage to rural areas. After Val d'Oise, Yvelines, Indre-et-Loire and Loir-et-Cher, this is the fourth success for TDF, one year after its entry into the fiber market.
