Vitis and TDF announce the signature of a national framework agreement under which Vitis will market its VIDEOFUTUR offering on all fiber optic networks operated by TDF, which will eventually represent more than 700,000 outlets.
As part of the France Très Haut Débit plan to roll out fiber to all regions, Vitis is now offering its 100% Fiber VIDEOFUTUR service in some twenty départements, representing 1,000 communes and over 500,000 outlets. Vitis is pursuing its strategy of conquering all neutral and open Public Initiative Networks, with a target of one million eligible outlets by the end of 2018.
For TDF, this agreement confirms its positioning as a neutral and open fiber infrastructure operator, aiming to cover territories located in sparsely populated areas. Since 2017, five départements have entrusted TDF with the deployment, operation and marketing of the fiber optic network in these sparsely populated areas.
The VIDEOFUTUR offer will be available :
- from July 2018, in the Val d'Oise (on the Val d'Oise Fibre public-initiative network, supported by the Val d'Oise Numérique mixed syndicate). The first communes to be connected will be Bernes-sur-Oise, Bruyère-sur-Oise, Champagne-sur-Oise, Chaumontel, Hérouville, Luzarches and Méry-sur-Oise;
- as soon as networks are made available in Yvelines (on the Yvelines Fibre network), Indre-et-Loire and Loir-et-Cher (on the Val de Loire Fibre public-initiative network, managed by the Val de Loire Numérique public-private partnership) and Maine-et-Loire (on the Anjou Fibre public-initiative network, managed by the Anjou Fibre public-private partnership).
For Mathias Hautefort, President of Vitis:
" We're proud to be taking part in the development of ultra-high-speed broadband throughout France by joining forces with TDF, Vitis' long-standing partner, to offer a quadruple-play service that's affordable and equivalent to the best standards on the market.
Olivier Huart, Chairman and CEO of TDF, said:
"We are delighted with this strategic partnership with Vitis. The VIDEOFUTUR offer enhances the range of services available on all our Fiber networks, for the benefit of the territories that have placed their trust in us. As soon as our first FTTH connections come on stream in July, households in the Val d'Oise will be able to benefit from ultra-fast broadband services, thus giving concrete form to the digital development project initiated and supported by our public partner, with the aim of bringing fiber to all.
