The Ministers Cédric O

This Thursday, March 11, 2021, Cédric O, Secretary of State for Digital Transition and Electronic Communications, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State to the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, with responsibility for Tourism, French Nationals Living Abroad and the Francophonie, and Joël Giraud, Secretary of State to the Minister of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities, with responsibility for Rural Affairs, are on a ministerial trip to inaugurate the first telecom site of the New Deal mobile scheme in Haute-Savoie. The tower, owned by TDF and located in Nancy-sur-Cluses, hosts the mobile telephony services of the four operators.

TDF, a stakeholder in the mobile New Deal

As part of the Mobile New Deal's targeted coverage plan, this telecommunications tower will provide Le Reposoir's residents with 3G/4G mobile coverage.
As an infrastructure operator, TDF makes its existing sites available to its operator customers to meet the needs of the Mobile New Deal, which aims to improve coverage for the population, local authorities and local players. The Group has 8,000 telecoms masts throughout France, enabling it to contribute to the success of this nationwide scheme.

As a neutral operator open to all mobile operators, TDF favors infrastructure sharing and implements it by hosting several operators and services on the same tower.

Olivier Huart, Chairman and CEO of TDF, said:

"We're proud to contribute to the success of the Mobile New Deal, which brings mobile coverage to isolated communities. Telecommunications infrastructures are essential for creating links and activity in the region. TDF is capitalizing on its infrastructure assets (towers, fiber optic and microwave networks, data centers) and its experience in infrastructure deployment and operation to accelerate digital coverage in rural areas."
