With a surface area of 20 m², the Optical Connection Node is a technical room essential to the deployment of the fiber optic network. It concentrates all the fibers that distribute the network to homes and businesses in the communauté de communes. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) will connect to this facility to offer high-speed broadband services to local residents.

The installation of this NRO is an essential step in the project to cover almost 15,000 outlets by the end of 2025. At the heart of the network, it will enable Faucigny Glières Fibre to connect residents of Bonneville, Marignier, Vougy, Ayze, Contamine-Sur-Arve, Glières Val-de-Borne and Brizon to fiber optics.

Stéphane Valli, President of the Faucigny Glières Community of Communes and Mayor of Bonneville, comments: "With the installation of this connection node, the project to roll out fiber optics in our region really gets underway. This is a much-awaited service for our residents, which will help improve their quality of life.

Jérôme Clarenne, Deputy Managing Director of Faucigny Glières Fibre, comments: "The installation of the optical connection node marks a crucial first step for the project as it gets underway. Through Faucigny Glières Fibre, TDF is committed to working with local authorities to bring very high-speed broadband to the entire territory of the communauté de communes."
