With the gradual computerization of healthcare professionals' practices, the growing deployment of electronic patient records (EPRs) and the emergence of "enlightened and augmented patientsthe healthcare sector is currently undergoing a veritable "digital revolution". As a result, Hospital Information Systems (HIS) are of strategic importance to healthcare establishments, through their 24/7 operation.

In this context, outsourcing HIS hosting to an approved personal health data host enables any type of healthcare establishment to guarantee data availability, integrity and confidentiality.

On June 29, 2015, SIB, the1st public hosting provider approved by the Ministry of Health to host personal health data in France and a publisher of healthcare and business intelligence solutions, and TDF signed a national partnership framework agreement covering the hosting of IS and healthcare data based on TDF's very high-speed connectivity and local datacenter offerings.

Since 2002, SIB has built up a wealth of business, technical and functional expertise, enabling it to offer a healthcare data hosting service fully adapted to the needs of healthcare establishments and their information systems. This offer is based on forty years' knowledge of hospital businesses and expertise in the design, deployment and integration of HIS and healthcare information systems.

TDF has an Ultra High-Speed Network (made up of 5,000 km of optical fibers, enabling the transport of voice, data and video flows from 10 to 100 Gb/s) and local datacenters (ProxiCenters) located in Bordeaux, Lille, Rennes and Aix-Marseille. This high-performance national infrastructure, combined with forty years of expertise in the operation and supervision of networks with severe real-time constraints, is now available to players in the e-health sector.

"Outsourcing the hosting of hospital information systems is growing rapidly. As part of the development of our IS and healthcare data hosting business, the SIB has found in TDF all the qualities required to enable us to strengthen our offer throughout France, in particular by ensuring the very high-speed, totally secure transport of our members' healthcare data", says Baptiste LE COZ, Deputy Managing Director of the SIB.

" Thanks to our unique infrastructure combining regional datacenters and Ultra High Speed Network, we are supporting the SIB in deploying, transporting, hosting and integrating healthcare data and images in complete security. In this way, TDF is helping the SIB to "take care" of its members' data ," emphasizes Christine Landrevot, Director of TDF's Telecoms and Services Division.
