TDF and operator GRID Telecom have signed an agreement to connect the TDF datacenter in Aix Marseille to the GRID Telecom network. This collaboration will enable all hosted customers to benefit from services such as Internet access, IT security and IP telephony.
A connected datacenter offering
In addition to the ultra-secure hosting solutions offered by TDF, all customers of the TDF datacenter in Aix Marseille can now benefit from GRID Telecom's fiber optic network for Internet access, point-to-point connections and managed services. This offer is designed to meet the needs of businesses and local authorities who outsource the storage of their data and multimedia applications, and who therefore have higher bandwidth requirements.
Connectivity at the heart of TDF's data center strategy
Hosting critical IT equipment in a datacenter requires the ability to connect this remote equipment to the company's information system in complete security. True to its positioning as a neutral and open infrastructure operator, TDF has made the strategic choice to open up its datacenters, located in Bordeaux, Aix-Marseille, Lille and Rennes, to players in the telecoms ecosystem, experts in international, national and regional connectivity. Customers hosted in TDF datacenters benefit from both TDF's expertise in secure hosting and a broad portfolio of network offerings.
"Our choice of TDF is first and foremost a question of geographical proximity and loyalty to the region in which our company is based," explains Ludovic Gailleton, CEO of GRID Telecom. "This choice was the logical next step in our evolution as a local provider of Internet access for businesses. We share the same DNA with TDF: proximity, agility and adaptability, and the same objective: to enable our customers to benefit from the latest innovations in IT security, and to contribute to the economic dynamism of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region."
"We are proud to welcome GRID Telecom, a fast-growing regional operator. This agreement confirms our determination to offer even more interconnections for our customers, and to support local and national companies in their digital transformation," says Christine Landrevot, Managing Director of TDF's Telecom Division.
