New DTT numbering

On June 6, 2025, Digital Terrestrial Television evolved: a change in channel numbering was implemented, by decision of Arcom, to improve the legibility of the offer and allow the arrival of new channels.

What's new

  • France 4 moves to channel 4
  • LCP - Assemblée nationale / Public Sénat switch to channel 8
  • Gulli moves to channel 12
  • Continuous news channels are grouped together:
    • BFM moves to channel 13
    • CNews moves to channel 14
    • LCI moves to channel 15
    • Franceinfo: on 16
  • T18 arrives on channel 18
  • NOVO19 arrives on channel 19 (September 2025)

What to do?

If you receive TV via a rake antenna or coaxial cable, you may need to "re-scan" or "search and memorize channels" to install the new numbering on your TV (some sets do this automatically).

  1. Switch on your TV.
  2. On your remote control, press the "Menu" or "Home" button to access your TV's main menu.
  3. Go to the "Configuration" or "Channel settings" menu.
  4. Select the "Search for channels" function, which can also be called "install channels" or "add channels".
  5. Then select the "Reinstall all channels" option, followed by "Automatic search". (Manual search is not recommended). Follow the on-screen instructions. You may be asked for your password. If so, enter it and continue. If you don't know it, enter 1234, 0000, 1111, 8888 or 9999 (the reset password is normally created when your receiver is first installed, or is indicated in your manual).
  6. Wait for the operation to finish. The channel search and memorization process may take several minutes.
  7. Once the search is complete, exit the menu, if necessary, using the "Exit", "Menu" or "TV" buttons to return to DTT channels.
  8. Check the channels: TF1 in 1, France 4 in 4, BFMTV in 13, LCI in 15, etc.
