Read his testimonial...

Who are you and what do you do?

I'm Guillaume Svec, I've been working for TDF since 2004 and I'm in charge of the site fleet, and I'm based in Bouliac. The RPS job, in terms of assets, consists of managing activities that contribute to enhancing, developing, managing and maintaining conditional operation of TDF infrastructures. INFRASTRUCTURE. We also guarantee legal control of the sites, and are in constant contact with our landlords, local authorities and prefectures.

What are the main skills you need to mobilize in your day-to-day work?

You need to be autonomous and have a rigorous approach to work management. You need to be able to manage priorities and have good interpersonal skills, because you'll be dealing with a wide variety of people. Versatile, because we're involved in a variety of subjects. It could be energy-related infrastructure issues, it could be legal control of sites, or deployment issues. This means we have knowledge in a wide variety of fields.

What do you find most satisfying about your work?

What I like about my job is that you're at the heart of all TDF's activities. We work on subjects related to television, radio, telecoms, infrastructures and so on. So we're at the crossroads of all TDF's activities, which means we're going to have very varied responsibilities. Another interesting point is that we have a job that gives us a lot of autonomy, which is quite pleasant on a daily basis. What I also appreciate is the richness and diversity of the people you come into contact with on a daily basis. They can range from local authorities to a strawberry grower with whom we have a plant, so it's a great way to meet people.

What are your most memorable projects?

It was when I took up the post of site park manager. The President of the Republic came to the Pic du Midi site, accompanied by Madame Delga and Monsieur Bayrou. So right from the start, it was quite a powerful experience to take on a new position. When I first arrived, I was also involved in finalizing the extension of the data center on the Bouillac site, where I had to participate and work with the town planning authorities to complete and close the building permit.

What makes you proud to be with TDF?

It's to be in a company that still has this notion of public service and providing services of collective interest. When someone turns on their TV, it's thanks to TDF. When you listen to the radio while driving, it's thanks to TDF too. TDF has been able to offer me challenges and support me up to the position I hold today through companionship and training, and it's important to feel supported and accompanied.
