At first glance, a broadcasting tower or pylon may appear to be no more than a piece of technical equipment, a tool to serve the networks. And yet, in many territories, these infrastructures have become part of the landscape, to the point of becoming an integral part of their identity. In the French overseas territories (Martinique, in the photo), sites ensure the continuity of television and radio broadcasting to remote areas, helping to connect them to the rest of the world.
