My name is Françoise Meyran, and I work for EDF. So I'm only co-owner of the land behind us. The first lease was signed by my mother in 2001 for a period of 12 years, tacitly renewable for a further 5 years. Then one fine day, there was a pylon and then money. What happiness! The pylon was used to broadcast television until 2010, when analog broadcasting was discontinued.
Following my mother's death, the TDF teams contacted us directly to tell us what to do. Madame Carlier was kind enough to take the initiative and guide us through the whole process. At the end of 2019, TDF offered to host a telecom operator on this tower to cover the commune of Val-d'Oronaye and the surrounding area. The company then came back to us to increase the rent. I would like to emphasize the honesty of TDF, which could of course have told us nothing.
I was contacted by a company, first of all several times by phone, two, three, four, five times. I didn't even answer the calls any more, and then they sent me a letter. When I asked technical questions, they were frankly incapable of answering.
A very strong relationship has been established with TDF, especially with Mr. Grimaldi, whom I contacted when some work had not been done properly on the site. He intervened and did everything perfectly. The relationship was also very strong at two particular moments. Firstly, when my mom died: they explained to me what had to be done, and supported me. Then, when a telephone company was installing a relay. Here too, I was informed in good time, and the icing on the cake was that the rent was raised and I got extra money. In conclusion, from a relational and financial point of view, everything was perfect.
